Baghdad Council Discusses with International Organization Means to Resettle Displaced
Head of the Baghdad Provincial Council Kamel al Zaidi reaffirmed the need to gently tackle the file of immigrants, and the importance of finding essential solutions to resettle them, said a statement released by the Council.
The statement which covered al Zaidi’s reception of a delegation from the UN organizations on human settlements said the Council of Baghdad, deals very exceptionally with the file of the displaced through realistic considerations over those who put hands on the State’s lands and properties, adding that the Council’s role is to find the mechanisms to deal with intruders and beneficiaries, the same way it had handled the Compounds of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Air Force Academy, and Zaafaraniya taking into considerations mutual interests of both sides.
